Myrtle Hamilton

Myrtle Hamilton, age 97 passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Myrtle was born on May 22, 1915 to her parents the late Walter Moore and Kelsie Damron Moore. Myrtle was the wife of the late James Franklin Hamilton, a homemaker, and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Along with her husband, Myrtle was preceded in death by two brothers, Wheeler Moore and Burt Moore, one granddaughter, Rana Hamilton, one grandson, Joseph Johnson. Myrtle is survived by three sons, Clifton (June) Hamilton of Virgie, Homer (Wilena) Hamilton of Indiana, James (Marcella) Hamilton of Ohio, two daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Lattimore of Florida, Betty (Kenneth) Johnson of Virgie, Ky., thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Damron Cemetery at Little Robinson of Virgie, Ky.
