William Henry "JJ" Wright

William Henry "JJ" Wright, age 72, of Pikeville, KY, passed away on Saturday August 3, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on November 3, 1946 to his parents the late John Clifton and Marie Belcher Wright.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Wright, by a brother, Lovell Wright and by a sister Henrietta Wright.       Before his retirement, Henry was a Heavy Haul Truck Driver for Ameritus Trucking.  He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Pilgrims Prayer Church.       He is survived by his significant other, Jacqueline Sue Elswick, by two daughters, Melissa Wright (Jim) Cable and Shawn Wright and by a son, Taylor Hackney, by three brothers, John C. (Patsy) Wright, Jr., Donald (Melinda) Wright and Douglas (Lois) Wright and by two sisters, Brenda Wright (Don) Goodson and Rosetta Wright, by three grandchildren, Ashley Wright, Kaci Taylor and Jordyn Adkins, by a great grandchild, Kolton Hackney and by a special nephew, Donald Wright, Jr.        Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019, after 6 p.m. at the Pilgrims Prayer Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 5 at 12 Noon at the Pilgrims Prayer Church with Daryl Newsom, Joey Justice and others officiation.       Special services will be held on Sunday night at 7 p.m
