William Everette Freeman

October 9, 1951 — November 23, 2019

    William Everette "Billy" Freeman, age 68, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019 at his home.  Billy was born on October 9, 1951 to his parents the late William Anthony Freeman and Phyllis Fuller Freeman.  He was the husband of Patty Griffith Freeman, owner/operator Woodman #3 Mine, Inc, and Freeman Farm.  He was a member of Feds Creek Baptist Church and a member of Thomas C. Cecil #375 El Hasa Shrine.      He loved working with angus cattle, golf, and U.K. Basketball.  He was an avid reader and great conversationalist.  Billy was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, and friend.      Along with his parents, Billy was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Madison Bailee Frederick, one son-in-law, Chris Frederick.      Along with his wife, Billy is survived by three daughters, Michelle (Chris) Frederick, Alicion Freeman Slone, Tabitha (Adam) Stoll, one son, William Anthony "Bill" (Geri) Freeman II,  two brothers, Johnny (Anita) Freeman, Joe (Tracy) Freeman, three grandchildren, Christin Steele Frederick, Caroline Mikah Slone, Matthew Robert Stoll, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Lloyd Holland, Benny Joe Freeman, and Steve Belcher officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Valley Memorial Garden at Big Rock, Va. There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.
