William "Bill" Coleman

William "Bill" Coleman, age 84, of Shelbiana, KY. passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Bill was born in Pike County, KY. on March 13, 1938, to his parents the late Herless Coleman and Ruby Coleman Janney. Bill was the husband of Betty Coleman and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. He was a welder and retired from Kris Electric. Bill served his Country Honorably in the United States Air Force, in which he served as a Military Police officer. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-Travis Coleman, three sisters- Madge Coleman and her husband John; Sybil Thacker and her husband Thomas Thacker; and Loretta Danielson. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Gail (Richard) Slone, two brothers, Ted Coleman (Naomi), Dean (Dorothy) Coleman, a sister, Judy Janney, a brother-in-law, Fred Danielson, a sister-in-law, Trula Coleman. Bill is also survived by three grandchildren, William (Tasha) Slone, Joshua (Jamie) Slone, Timothy (Robin) Slone, four great-grandchildren, Canaan Slone, Wyatt Slone, Hayleigh Slone, Maely Slone and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday, February 27 and 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with services both Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with A.B. Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, Ky.
