Wanda Gay Murphy

Wanda Gay Murphy, age 70, of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Johnson City Memorial Hospital.  Wanda was born on March 8, 1955, the daughter of the late Otis Clayton and Annae Mullins Conley.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Ann Murphy and by two brothers, Wayne and Ronnie Conley.

Before her retirement, Wanda was a CNA at Landmark Nursing Home and was of the Baptist Faith.

Wanda is survived by her companion, Mike Pugh, by a daughter, Conswella Murphy, by two brothers, Bill Conley and Jim Conley, by four sisters, Anna Swiney, Connie Barton, Rosa Meade and Gret Thacker and by two grandchildren, David Pinion and Samantha Pinion.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Conley and Dustin Ramsey officiating.  Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.

Special services will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM.
