Vonda Johnson

     Vonda Johnson, age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at her home.  She was born on May 8, 1930 to her parents the late Ben A. Johnson and Myrtle Fouts Johnson.  She was the wife of the late Hubert Johnson, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ.      Along with her husband and parents, Vonda was preceded in death by two sons, Burlin Johnson and Gene David Johnson, two sisters and one brother.      Vonda is survived by six children, Ernestine (Grover) Meade, Christine (Douglas) Morris, Rosa (David) Hampton, Royal Johnson, Doral (Fayetta) Johnson, Dorothy (Gary) Meade, one brother, Gene Bo Johnson, two sisters, Corma Tackett and Inez Bentley, twenty six grandchildren, fourty four great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.      Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Church of Christ Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hubert Johnson Cemetery at Speight, Ky.
