Terry Johnson, age 63, of Boyd County, KY, passed away late on October 9, 2025. Terry was born on July 25, 1962, in Pikeville, KY, the son of Fern (Smallwood) Johnson and Fon Johnson.

He graduated from Boyd County High School before attending Marshall University in Huntington, WV, earning a bachelors in Accounting.

Terry was a frequent visitor of the TBS Auction, where he collected beautiful antiques to fill his home. Additionally, he decorated for every season and holiday. Because he loved dogs and cats, Terry always had several pets. Terry was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church.

Terry is survived by his mother, Fern (Smallwood) Johnson; his brother, Ricky Johnson; his son, Adam Johnson; his daughter-in-law, Jeanette Burke; his cousins, Vernon and Deloris Hampton; and a host of other cousins and friends. He really valued time with his family.

Preceding Terry in death are Fon Johnson, father; and Jim Webb, stepfather.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14 at 1 pm at Lucas and Sons Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY. Funeral services will be immediately following 2 pm at Lucas and Sons Funeral Home, with Elder Freddie Murphy officiating. Interment will be in Monroe Smallwood Cemetery at Dorton immediately following.

Memorial donations in Terry’s memory may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
