Shelby Jean Swiney

Shelby Jean Hill Swiney, age 84, of Marrowbone, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her residence. Shelby was born in Pike County, Ky on June 27, 1936, to her parents the late Barney Hill and Dessie Madden Hill. Shelby was the wife of the late James Harold Swiney. Shelby Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church "Pine Grove". Shelby Jean was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Denise Swiney, Daughter-In-Law, Kathie Curry, Son-In-Law, Tommy Wallace. She is deceased by three brothers, Barney Junior Hill, Douglas Denver Hill, Ervin Hill and two sisters, Evelyn Coleman, Mae Swiney. She is survived by one son, James Curry, two daughters, Gina Swiney, Rhonda Thacker (Paul). Shelby Jean is survived by five grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2020, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services Monday and Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020, 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Stacy Hopkins, Jimmy Dale Sanders, Teddy Honaker, Robbie Osborne and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Clevinger Cemetery located on Marrowbone Creek, Ky.
