Samantha Hill

Samantha Hill passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center Hospital after a lifelong battle with multiple sclerosis. Samantha was born March 23rd of 1990 to her parents, Densil Hill and Janice G. Hopkins Hill. Samantha was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her children, Alexis M. Smith and Hunter D. Smith.

She was the grandmother of Waylon D. Damron and the "man-man" to two great-nieces, Penelope J. Martin and Charlotte B. Martin. Along with her father, Samantha is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Truman Slone. Along with her children, Samantha leaves behind her mother, Janice; two sisters, Marsha Hill and Susan D. Conn; two nephews, Johnny (Kyle) Conn and Jacob D. Martin; one niece, Isabella Slone; a best friend, Krissy (Drew) Adam's and an army of loving family and friends.

Samantha will be remembered not only by the love she always showed but also by her strength and determination. She was dealt a rough hand from a very young age but never let that stop her from being a business owner or an amazing mother, nor did she let it stop her from doing anything she wanted to do. Samantha lived her life as a testimony that no disease can define you or stop you from the things you want in life; she was an inspiration to her entire family and will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Samantha will be held on Friday, December 5th at 6:30pm and services will be held Saturday, December 6th at 1:00pm at the Lucas and Son funeral home.
