Roberta Gibson

Roberta Gibson, age 90, of Bowling Green, Ky. formerly of Pike County, Ky., passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Bowling Green Medical Center. Roberta was born in Letcher County, Ky., on February 22, 1931, to her parents the late Henry Trusty and Mary Brown Trusty. Roberta was member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church and was the wife of the late Leon Gibson. Roberta was a former owner and operator for many years of the Three Way Drive Inn at Marrowbone, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Vance Gibson his wife Bonnie, Jean Sanders her husband Gordon. Roberta is survived by two sisters, Bessie Staab-Hickman, Betty Anderson. She is survived by four grandchildren, Ronald Sanders, Robert Sanders, Vanessa Gibson, Aaron Gibson, four great grandchildren, Peyton Sanders, Christopher Sanders, Coy Nathaniel Gibson, Elijah Jacob Gibson and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, July 21, 2021, 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Terry Gibson, Allen Gibson and Charles Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery located on Nicholasville Rd., Lexington, Ky.
