Robert Kelly

Robert Charles Kelly, age 83, passed away Saturday June 25, 2022, at his home. Robert was born on October 4, 1938 to his parents the late Bill Kelly and Bertha Baker Kelly. He was the husband of Brenda Flannagan Kelly, a retired coal miner, and a member of Old Elkhorn Old Regular Baptist Church. He was also an Old Regular Baptist Minister for several years. Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Wright, Rebel Kelly, and five brothers, Johnny Harold Kelly, Bernard Kelly, Bruce Kelly, George Kelly, and LeRoy Kelly. Along with his wife, Robert is survived by three daughters, Deborah Kelly, Rebecca (David) Skiles, Kara (Brandon) Tackett, one brother, Truman Kelly, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Old Elkhorn Old Regular Baptist Church at Shelby Gap. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church with Barry Lucas, Robbie Osborne, Carson Wright, Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
