Rita Wolfe Foley

Rita Wolfe Foley, age 91, of Pound, Virginia, formerly of Shelby Gap, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Holston Manor. She was born on August 28, 1934, the daughter of the late Malcom and Laura Steele Wolfe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth “Tommy” Wolfe, Glenn Wolfe and James Wolfe and by a sister, Alma Wolfe Cantrell.

Rita worked for 20 years as the secretary for National Mine Service in Jenkins, Kentucky and later was co-owner of Foley Hydraulics and American Hose and Mine Supply.

Rita is survived by her husband, Bill David Foley, by her sister, Phyllis Wolfe Hall as well as a host of family and friends who will miss her and loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 5 to 9 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mark Kelly Officiating. Burial will follow in the Wolfe Steele Cemetery at Shelby Gap, Kentucky.

Special services will be held on Thursday evening at 7 PM
