Richard Thacker

Richard Thacker, age 57, of Red Creek Road passed away Thursday, December 22, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Richard was born on December 13, 1965, to his parents the late Cornelius Thacker and Glema Mullins Thacker. He was the husband of Teresa Silcox Thacker, a retired electrician and general laborer, and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Evelyn Mae Thacker. Along with his wife, Richard is survived by two daughters, Miracle Elaine (Matthew Elswick) Thacker, Eva Marie Thacker, one brother, Terry Thacker, three sisters, Bernadette Allen, Maggie Dye, Sherry (Donnie) Scaggs, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday night at 7 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Alfred Adkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
