Phyllis Ray

    Phyllis M. Ray, age 75, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Phyllis was born on July 17, 1948 to her parents the late Bill MckInney and LInda Sword McKinney.  She was the wife of the late Allard Ray, a retired bookkeeper for Cochran Block Company and several other companies.  She was also a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

     Along with her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by one son, Jerry D. Ray, and one sister, Sandra Phillips.

     Phyllis is survived by one son, Thomas A. (Tara) Ray, daughter in law, Angie Ray, two sisters, Billie Childers, Dottie Hamilton, five grandchildren, Xena (Shane) Adkins, Thomas D. (Courtney) Ray, Kara Ray, Andi (Michael) Keathley, Bruce Begley, ten great grandchildren, Allard R., Johnnie X., Luka M., Emerson D., Kona D., Gabriella P., Gabriel, Devon, Dylan, Jenson, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Elder James McClanahan officiating.
