Patricia Ann Goodson, age 79, passed away on November 6, 2026, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Patricia was born on February 8, 1947, to the late Sammie and Aileen Wright. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wayne Goodson, and one son Jody Wayne Goodson.
Patricia is survived by one son Joey Blaine (Teena) Goodson, two sisters, Sondra Lea (Wayne) Simms, Mary Vanessa (Ike) Kelly, four grandchildren, Sierra, Allison, Jesse, and McKinley, and four great-grandchildren Lakyn, Scarlett, Parker, and Madison.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 8 and Monday, November 9 at 6:00 PM with church services starting nightly at 7 PM, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 10 at 12:00 PM, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Dorton General Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
