Okey Lee May

Okey Lee May, age 83, passed away August 18, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Okey was born on Dec. 8, 1937 to his parents the late Tilden May and Maggie Stiltner May. He was the husband of Lassie Coleman May, retired from the U.S. Navy, coal mining and he belonged to the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Okey was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Keith May. Along with his wife, Okey is survived by six sons, Robert Wayne May, Kenneth Lee May, Timothy Darrel May, Terry Dean (Wendy) May, James Everette May, Tilden Cleve (Christie) May, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jack Justice, Jerry Estep and Morris Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
