N.J. Cantrell, age 76, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at his home. N.J. was born on August 6, 1945 to his parents the late Adam Cantrell and Martha Mullins Cantrell. He was the husband of Rosetta Morgan Cantrell, a retired coal miner, construction worker, and owner of Cantrell Glass Company. N.J. was a member of the Jenkins Masonic Lodge, a member of Hylton Freewill Baptist Church, and he also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Along with his wife, N.J. is survived by one son, Adam G. (Jennifer) Cantrell, one brother Lester (Anita) Cantrell, two granddaughters, Alyssa Paige Cantrell, Chloe Elizabeth Cantrell, 2 special nephews, Stuart (Ashley) Cantrell, Jeremy Morgan, three special nieces, Christi Morgan Ratliff, Amanda Owren, Kimberly Guelcher, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be Wednesday at 6:30p.m. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy England officiating with Elkhorn City Chapter D.A.V. services. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
