Nadine Owens-McCoy, 77, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born on July 31, 1948, she lived a life rich in love, family, and friendship, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Nadine was mother to her three children, Dale (Audrey) McCoy, Lisa (Bill) Osborne, and Laura (Ben) Page. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced her role as a sister to Patricia Hess. Nadine was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Joshua McCoy, Logan (Jessica) McCoy, Aleisha (Josh) Newsom, Tyler (Katelin) Osborne, Bailey, and Andrew Page, as well as 8 great-grandchildren, Kylie Meade, Kameron Meade, Karson Meade, Isaiah Newsom, Kara McCoy, Lily McCoy, Jon Newsom, and Gracie Newsom.
Nadine's life was marked by her deep connections with her loved ones, reflecting the values she held dear. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McCoy. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Owens; mother, Mary Owens; brother, Michael Owens; and sister, Darlene Stewart.
Friends and family are invited to honor Nadine's memory and celebrate her life at Lucas & Son Funeral Home in Pikeville, Kentucky. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, followed by her funeral service on Sunday February 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM, with burial to follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
Nadine Owens-McCoy's resilience, warmth, and love for her family will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be sorely missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all she touched.
