Myrtle Thacker

February 10, 1936 — June 9, 2019

Myrtle Harris Thacker, age 83, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at her home. Myrtle was born on Feb. 10, 1936 to her parents the late Clarence Harris and Illa Blackburn Harris. She was the wife of the late Allen Thacker, a homemaker, and a member of Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church at Kimper.     Along with her husband and parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by two sons in law, Larry Taylor, Hassell Ratliff, great grandson, Errick Varney, two granddaughters, three sisters, Eddust Slone, Bertha Maynard, Shrilda Belle Lane, and five brothers, Junius, Ray, Carl, C.J., and Ralph Harris.      Myrtle is survived by seven children, Barbara Ratliff (Troy) Hunt, David Allen (Nanette) Thacker, Patty (Bill) Slone, Linda "BooBoo" Taylor Willis, Tim (LaVerne) Thacker, Denise (Barry) Thacker, Missy (Stanley) Pinion, one sister, Marie Thacker, one sister in law, Alice Haris, nineteen grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany) Ratliff, David (Casey) Thacker Jr., Stephany (Colin) Wier, Lisa (Brian) Daniels, tiffany (Tim) Hite, Michele (Ronn) Varney, Jon Alan (Katie Layne) Pinion, Kylea Pinion, Emilee Pinion, Mika Thacker, Ethan Willis, John Willis,  fifteen great grandchildren, Zoey Ratliff, Jace Ratliff, Jacob Thacker, Matthew Thacker, Allyson Thacker, Chloe Roberts, Mason Thacker, Ian Wier, Declan Wier, Collum Wier, Lilly Daniels, Layla Daniels, Trent Hite, Trevor Hite, Gabe Varney,  and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.     Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church at Kimper. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 12 noon at the Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Thacker Family Cemetery at Canada, Ky    The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Brian Daniels and his staff, Dr. William Fannin, and Appalachian Hospice, Connie, Christy, Sara, Pam, Sandra, Danielle, Rowanda, Rick, and Debbie.
