Myrtle Joyce Smith

Myrtle Joyce Smith age 77, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at her home.  Myrtle was born on May 20, 1947 to her parents the late Prince Smith and Hattie Marcum Smith.  She was the wife of the late Morris Smith, a retired pharmacy technician for many years at Johns Creek Drug and later at Family Drug on Town Mountain.  She was a member of the Mike's Branch Church of Christ.

     Along with her husband and parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by one brother, Aubrey Smith and one sister, Lois Blackburn.

     Myrtle is survived by one son, Morris (Shondale) Smith Jr., two grandchildren, Donavan Smith, Madison Ray, two brothers, Woody Smith and Winston Smith, and one sister, Janet Robinson, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Tuesday at 5p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Slone and Burnis Jarvis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Henry Taylor Cemetery at Brushy Creek.
