Mollie Martin

Mollie June Damron Martin, age 89, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at her home.  She was born on August 5, 1929 to her parents the late John Christian Damron and Roxie Dale Damron.  She was the wife of the late Tomas Martin, a homemaker, and a member of the Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church.      Along with her husband and parents, Mollie was preceded in death by one son, Marlon Dwight Martin, one daughter, Judith Faye Martin, three brothers, Lloyd Damron, Pat Damron, Hage Damron, and six sisters, Jettie Bartley, Jessie Compton, Phroda Coleman, Edith Davis, Joanna Hall, and Adeline Garner.       Mollie is survived by two sons, Roger Dale Martin, Samuel Lee (Lavonda) Martin, three daughters, Loraine Martin, Lenetta (Bruce) Sawyers, Deborah Ann (Bobby) McCool, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church.  Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church with Bruce Sawyers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Damron Cemetery at Sookey's Creek.
