Mickey Watson

Mickey Watson, age 61, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. Mickey was born on Nov. 30, 1963 to his parents Jacqualine Fair Watson and the late Ronald Dean Watson.  He retired after 25 years of service from the Kentucky State Police serving Post 14, Post 9, and working the Governor's security detail.  He was also a member of the Pikeville Presbyterian Church.  He belonged to the Masonic Lodge at Jenkins, loved U.K. Football and Basketball and cooking and entertaining and family get togethers.

     Along with his mother, Mickey is survived by Shelia Goodman, one daughter, Kayla (Dustin) Berliner, one son, Blake (Shayna) Watson, step son, Bryan Tracy Pleasant, two sisters, Angelique Missildine, Laura Dean (Bart) Kelly, daughter in law:  Paula Coomer Pleasant,  five grandchildren, Anna Grace Pleasant, Raylen Watson, Reid Watson, Nolan Berliner, Remedy Watson, and a host of loving family and friends and co-workers who will miss him dearly. 

     Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Rucker officiating.
