Melton Rogers

Melton Rogers, a beloved resident of London, Kentucky, passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 47 years, 4 months and 13 days of age. Born on January 8, 1978, in Pikeville, Kentucky, he was the cherished son of the late Charles Richard Rogers and Dorothy Lynn Bennett. Melton was united in marriage to Lori Jean Rich Rogers, who survives him in London.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Melton Bradley Rogers (Katelyn Nicole), Shelton Ethan Rogers, and Lucas Gage Rogers, all residing in London. He was also a proud grandfather to Jocelyn Rose Rogers. Melton is survived by his siblings, Tonya Rogers and Lindsay Smith both of Harold, Kentucky, and Lucy Rogers of Grethel, Kentucky, along with a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Melton was a dedicated pipe fitter for HVAC and a valued member of The Creek Church in London.

His life will be celebrated with a funeral service at 6 pm on Saturday at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Ethan Carnahan and Brad White. Friends and family are invited to gather from 4 pm until the service hour at Bowling Funeral Home.

Additional visitation will be held from 12-3 pm on Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Pikeville, followed by burial at Blankenship Family Cemetery at Harold’s Branch in Pike County.
