Melissa Sue Stiltner

Melissa Sue “Missy” Stiltner, 57, of Melvin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Born on December 11, 1968, in Grundy, Virginia, Missy was the beloved daughter of the late Hobert Arville Stiltner and Evelyn Berger Stiltner.

Missy was a homemaker whose greatest gift was simply being herself. She possessed a gentle heart, a kind spirit, and an innocence that touched everyone who knew her. Although her health and physical body declined over the years, her loving heart, beautiful smile, and sharp mind never changed. She faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and grace, leaving an unforgettable example of perseverance and unconditional love.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved collecting stuffed animals, coloring, playing games, and spending time reading her Bible. Her faith brought her comfort, and her gentle nature brought comfort to others.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted fiancé and caregiver, David Hall; her brothers, Anthony (Shelly) Stiltner, Chris (Stephanie) Stiltner, and Tracy Stiltner; her sister, Patricia (Charlie) Clatworthy; and her cherished nephews, Noah Stiltner, Jonathan Clatworthy, and Rylan Stiltner, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by those who welcomed her into eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Missy’s life at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Matthew Tackett Cemetery in Melvin, Kentucky.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
