Melissa Dawn Coleman

   Melissa Dawn Coleman, age 48, passed away Friday April 19, 2024, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born June 29, 1975, to her parents the late Denver Thacker and Kay Bartley Thacker.  She was the companion of Jessie Taylor, a homemaker and a believer of the Freewill Baptist faith. 
   Along with her father Melissa was preceded in death by one sister Jennifer Wellman, her grandparents Curtis and Polly Bartley, and Clyde and Marie Thacker.
   Along with her mother and companion, Melissa is survived by two daughters Kaylee (Jeremy Dotson) Coleman and Alyssa Coleman, one brother Riley Thacker and three grandchildren, Mila Tackett, Ares Tackett, and Elijah Dotson.
   Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Service Monday night at 7pm with Bro. Terry Gibson officiating, Service Tuesday Night at 7pm with Bro. Neil Coleman officiating. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Sussan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
