Mary Ann Thacker

Mary Ann Thacker, age 81, of Millard Highway, Pikeville, Ky. was called to be with the Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Mary Ann was born in Pike County, Ky. on August 25, 1940, to her parents the late Burbon Thacker and Mercy Adkins Thacker. Mary Ann was retired from the Pike County Board of Education. She was an Elementary School math teacher. Mary Ann was a faithful member of the Faith First Baptist Church for over forty years. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Nathaniel Thacker, Haze Thacker his wife (Ann), Lunner Thacker his wife (Shirley), Burbon Jr. Thacker. She is preceded in death by, three sisters, Carrie Kendrick her husband (Sammie), Betty Slone her husband (Benny), a sister, Martha Bell Thacker, a sister-in-law, Betty Thacker, a brother-in-law, George Lawhorn. Mary Ann is survived by a brother, Karfa Thacker, a sister, Lorraine Lawhorn, and a sister-in-law, Janice Thacker. She is survived by a great loving niece, Tima Bingham. a loving great great nephew, Michael Bingham, many nieces and nephews and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM, July 9, 2022, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with services at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Sunday, 2:00 PM, July 10, 2022, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, Ky.
