Loretta Stewart Bartley, age 94, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at her home. Loretta was born on Nov. 29, 1929 to her parents the late Cleve Stewart and Della Fife Stewart. She was the wife of the late Wilkie Bartley, a retired custodian for Pikeville Medical Center and Millard High School and she also worked at Wal Mart for over ten years. Loretta was a member of the Unity Freewill Baptist Church at Rockhouse.
Along with her husband and parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband, James Webster Branham, one grandchild, Roxanne Branham, three brothers and one sister.
Loretta is survived by three sons, Rocky (Mousie V.) Branham, Mitch (Leda Carol) Branham, Neal (Robin) Branham, one daughter, Chenna (Mitch) Robinson, eight grandchildren, Jason Branham, April (Allie) Turley, Chris (Shawnlee) Branham, Brittany (Espn) Engvisk, Jamey Neal Branham, Jaren (Misty) Branham, Cody (Hilary) Robinson, Kyle (Sarah) Robinson, fourteen great grandchildren, special thank you to her two special caregivers Fern and Sarah, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Eric Bartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery at Laurel Branch of Marrowbone.
