Lola Mae Pennington

Lola Mae Pennington, age 81, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lola was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on May 22, 1942, to her parents the late Milton Fleming and Sadie Potter Fleming. Lola was the wife of Palmer Lee Pennington. She was a homemaker and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Vernon Fleming, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Pennington, a brother-in-law, Wayne Pike. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Henry Pennington, Jeffrey (Tamara) Pennington, and Steve Pennington, a daughter, Beverly (John) Clark. She is also survived by a brother, Noah (Shirley) Fleming, two sisters, Della Mae Pike, Darlene (Tim) Collier. She is survived by her grandchildren, Trever Tolsen, Bridget (Jarrod) Maynard, Kayla (John) Mims, Nicole (Colt) Chapman, Maddie Clark. and three great grandchildren, Colsen Chapman., Harper Tolsen and Thea Tolsen. Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with services at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery located at Shelbiana, Ky.
