Lois G. Sanders

Lois G. Sanders, age 77 of Regina, KY, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born on May 7, 1948, the daughter of the late Lonzie and Jane Elkins Lee.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Jean Lockhart and by six brothers, Lestel Lee, G.R. Lee, Ben Lee, Lonzie Lee Jr., Paul Lee and Franklin Lee.

Before her retirement Lois worked as a teachers aide for the Pike County School system and was a member of the Little Pond Old Regular Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Bill Sanders, by three sons, Greg (Debi) Sanders, Jamie Sanders and Chris Sanders, by a grandson, Easton James Sanders as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her and loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Steve Coleman and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.

Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 PM
