Leona Hayes Tucker, age 94, left this life on February 11, 2026, born April 18, 1931, to John and Mary Hayes. Leona is preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Tucker, they were married, December 6, 1947. She is also preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Mary Hayes; as well as two sisters and four brothers. 

Leona leaves behind, to mourn her passing, two sons, Jerry (Helen) Tucker of Shelby Gap, KY, and James (Lyndia) Tucker of Jenkins, KY. Her six grandchildren, Brian Tucker of Knoxville, TN, Tish Blair of Georgetown, KY, Kim Joyce of Shelby Gap, KY, Azure Wright of McRoberts, KY, Fabian Little of Virgie, KY, Glenndia Thompson of Georgetown, KY, will miss her. Leona leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandsons, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister, Essie Lohmier. Leona was a devoted member of Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 202, at Lucas & Son Funeral Home, beginning at 6 PM with special services at 7 PM, conducted by Glory Bound Ministers. Funeral services will be the following day, Sunday, February 15, 2026, 2 PM at Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery, Shelby Gap, Kentucky.
