Leo R Turner

Leo R. Turner, age 72, passed away February 20th, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 16th, 1953, in Fort Scott, Kansas, and resided in Weeksbury, Kentucky. He was a Sgt. in the Marines from 1972-1975. He was also a MM3 in the Navy from 1976-1988. He was employed by Job Corps, Prestonsburg, Kentucky from 2009-2015.

Leo was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Leroy and Joan Turner.

He is survived by his loving wife, Burma Jo Turner. His sons Leonard (Samantha) Turner of Arlington, Washington. His step sons Derrick (Kayla) Adkins of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, and Christopher (Dawn) Adkins of Pikeville, Kentucky. His brothers and sisters Ronnie (Rhonda) Turner of Derby, Kansas.,  Tammy (Robert) Williams of Wichita, Kansas,  Robert Turner of Wichita, Kansas, and Toney (Katie) Turner of Wichita, Kansas. His grandchildren, Casey and Savanna Turner, Justin Turner, and Hunter, Hoyt, and Hudson Adkins. Two special friends, Mike Williams of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Larry Music of Van Lear, Kentucky.

Leo will be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
