It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lawson P. Thacker, who departed this world on November 10, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lawson was a beloved brother and uncle, known for his warm spirit and compassionate nature. He is survived by his brother, Howard (Patricia) Thacker, Patricia was like a sister to him. Howard and Patricia stood by Lawson through thick and thin. Lawson is also survived by a special brother-in-law Arkie Kinney, and sister-in-law, Ocie Thacker. Lawson will be sorely missed by several nieces, nephews, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and a special nephew, Donnie Thacker, who shared a unique bond with him.
