Larry Dean Hylton

Larry Dean "Hacksaw" Hylton, age 53, of Ashcamp, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born on March 12, 1972, the son of the late Harold Dean and Rebeale McCown Hylton.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory Hylton and Garland Hylton and by a sister Sue Ann Hylton. 

Larry spent his life working hard and loving his family.  He dedicated 35 years to the coal mining industy, starting at just16 years old.

Larry leaved behind a legacy of love and memories with his sons, Kaegan Dean Hylton and Austin Channing Stevens.  His family also includes, Selenna Hylton of Varney, Kentucky, his sisters, Teresa Hylton of Elkhorn, Kentucky and Brenda Hylton of Hardy, Kentucky, his brother, Sammy McCown of Illinois. Larry's love extends to his granddaughter, Rosalie Stevens of New York , one grandson,  Ashton Osborne and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

To those who knew him, Larry was more than just a family man - he was a great parther, a devoted father and a wonderful friend.  He will be deeply missed by his family and a host of friends who cherished his presence in their lives.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Neil Coleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Young Maynard Cemetery at Varney, Kentucky.
