Larry David Adkins

Larry David Adkins, age 74, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 20, 1949 to the late Mose Adkins and Virgie Thacker Adkins. He was the husband of the late Brenda Huffman Adkins, and retired maintenance man for Community Trust Bank. Along with his wife and parents, Larry was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Larry is survived by one daughter, Trista (James) Abshire, two brothers, Jimmy Jack (Avonelle) Adkins, Edgar (Francis) Adkins, and four grandchildren, Kayla, Joshua, Elijah, Arabella, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1 P.M. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Jack Adkins and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery Lower Pompey, Ky.
