Kenious Morris

Kenious Morris Jr., age 84, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1938 to his parents the late Kenious Morris and Verna Justice Morris. Kenious was the husband of the late Francis Montgomery Morris, and a retired coal miner. Along with his wife and parents, Kenious was preceded in death by two daughters. Teresa Maynard, Wilma Young, two son in laws, Shannon Chapman and Louis Maynard, four brothers, Esther, Glen, Frennie, and Edgar Morris, and three sisters, Cindy Brown, Loraine Reed, and Geraldine Senters. Kenious is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Chapman, Deborah (Duke) Chapman, two sisters, Ethel Hall, Mary Gugelchuck, six grandchildren, Joshua Maynard, Kenious Dustin Maynard, Kameron Chapman, Amanda Stanley, Natoshia Hall, Sasha Hensley, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Family Cemetery at Sidney.
