Karen Sue Hall

Karen Sue Hall, 67 , of Jonancy, Kentucky , passed away Wednesday , September 3, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born on June 9, 1958, in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Hiram and Glenna Flannagan Hall .  Karen was a retired Nurse Aid for Appalachian Regional Health Care and a dedicated member of Connection Church. She was known for her unwavering generosity and commitment to helping those in need.

Karen saw no value in worldly possessions but chose to spend her life cultivating a wealth of friends and a strong bond with her Connection church family . She will be remembered for her warm spirit and kindness, evident in every interaction she had with anyone who met her. 

 Karen had a passion for animals especially caring for her beloved golden retriever Cooper, her cat Daisy, and two strays that found a loving home with her.

In addition to serving others, Karen enjoyed golf , basketball, softball and most sports in general.  

Karen is survived by her brother, Ray (Myrtie) Hall ; her sister, Sharon (Gayle ) Compton; her niece, Roza( Danny) Tackett; her nephew, Tommy (Johnna) Compton; her great-nephew, Casey Tackett; and her great-niece, Chloe Compton. She also leaves behind many special friends, including Robin and Jeff McPeek and Audrey “Gram” Adkins, along with her Connection Church family.

Karen's  kindness and compassion will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

There will be a private interment and scattering of remains at a later date.
