Julius Ratliff age 80, of Powells Creek Road, Pikeville ,KY passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Julius was born in Pike County, Ky. on May, 23, 1943, to his parents the late Curtis Ratliff and Madeline Williamson Ratliff. Julius was a retired coalminer, a member of the Victory Temple Holiness Church at Shelbiana, Ky. Julius was the husband of Carol Martin Ratliff. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bobby Ratliff, Clarence Ratliff, Curtis Ratliff, Jr., and two brothers-in- law, Harold Adams and Johnny Short. He is survived by his wife, Carol Martin Ratliff, a son, Tim (Karen) Ratliff, two daughters, Sheila (Hobert Jr) McCoy, Becky (Doug Blair) Childers. He is survived four brothers, Clinard (Linda) Ratliff, Bill (Betty) Ratliff, Ray (Carol) Ratliff, Raymond (Pam) Ratliff, two sisters, Lurley Short, Virgie Adams, three sisters in law, Trish Ratliff, Ocie Ratliff, Polly Ratliff Robinson, two special nephews, Perry and Greg Ratliff, several nieces and nephews, and six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2023, 6:00 PM, at the Victory Temple Holliness Church at Shelbiana, Ky, with services both Sunday and Monday nights. Funeral services will Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 1:00 PM, at the Victory Temple Holiness Church at Shelbiana, Ky. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery located at Shelbiana, Ky.
