Johnny Joe Marrs

Johnny Joe Marrs, age 72, of Pikeville, Ky., passed away at his home on Friday, January 15, 2021. Johnny was born in Pike County, Ky. on March 23, 1948, to his parents the late Virgil Marrs and Elizabeth Mullins Marrs. He was the husband of Sherry Ratliff Marrs. Johnny was a retired conductor with the CSX Railroad. Johnny was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Johnny served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Demlena Gale Marrs. Johnny is survived by his wife, two daughters, Rachel Marrs, Andrea Contrell, two sons, John Chris Marrs, and Nathan Coleman. He is also survived by three sisters, Sandra Kaye Thacker, Wanda Sue Slone, Janie Steward, ten grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Memorial Service visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM with funeral services at 1:00 PM
