Johnie Stanley

Johnie Stanley, age 81, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020 at his home. Johnie was born on December 25, 1938 to his parents the late Troy Stanley and Gracie Hinkle Stanley. He was the husband of Jacqueline Boyd Stanley, a retired line crew supervisor for American Electric Power, and aa Deacon, Trustee, and Treasurer for Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church. Johnie also served his country honorably in the United States Army. Along with his parents, Johnie was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Luther, and Earl Stanley, and three sisters, Juanita Smith, Opal Burge, and Mary Church. Along with his wife, Jacqueline, Johnie is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Timothy) Lucas, one son, Chris (Lisa) Stanley, two brothers, Raymond Stanley, Emory Stanley, one sister, Rose Buchanan, four grandchildren, Shawn Stanley, Ashleigh Stanley, Courtney Lucas, Madison Boyd, five great grandchildren, Ryder Stanley, Alivia Meek, Makenzie Stanley, Jase West, Jakson Meek, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday 12/23/2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bruce Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
