Jimmie "Doc" Slone

Jimmie "Doc" Slone, age 71, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Jimmie was born December 17, 1954, to the late Billy "Doc' and Emogene-Hurley Slone. Jimmie "Doc" was a retired coal miner/foremen for Coal Mac and Arch Coal, and a believer in the Christian faith. 

Besides his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by one sister, Billie Jean Smith. Jimmie is survived by his wife Patricia Slone, one son, Jeremy (Jacqueline) Slone, three daughters, Jaime (Deckar) Alexander, Garah Pigg, Abigayle Worrix, one stepdaughter, Aleisha Rogers, two sisters, Bertha Runyon, and Diane (Chris) Deskins, six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Slone, Dylan Slone, Dakar'e Alexander, Daylen Alexander, Mallory Bricker, and Jordan Bricker. Jimmie was known and loved by so many and will be forever missed by many friends and a host of loving family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 6pm, at Lucas and Son Funeral home, church will begin at 7pm, with Bro. Chris Bartley officiating. Funeral will be Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 12Noon, at Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with Bro. Ray Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
