Jimmy Lee Moore

Jimmy Lee Moore, age 74, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born on March 2, 1951, the son of the late Willie and Allene Little Moore.  IN addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Taylor.

Before his retirement, Jimmy was a coal operator/owner.

Jimmy is survived by two sons, Jimmy Lee Moore, II and Joseph Peyton Moore, by a brother, Terry (Kathleen) Moore, by special family, Bradley and Amy Moore and Jacob and Jordan Moore, by two nieces, Tara Matney and Allison Taylor and by three nephews, Terry Moore, Tyler Moore and Mark Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, after 6 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Randy Bentley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
