Jimmy "Jim" Thacker

Jimmy "Jim" Thacker, age 78, of Pikeville, Ky. passed away on September 18, 2020, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jimmy was born in Pike County, Ky. on March 20, 1942, to his parents the late Fred Thacker and Nell Branham Thacker. Jimmy was retired owner and operator of Thacker Transmission at Pikeville, Ky. Jimmy studied the Jehovah Witness faith. Jimmy was the husband of Audrey Thacker. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lester Thacker, Rayvene Thacker, Bob Thacker. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Audrey, two sons, Michael Thacker, Greg Thacker (Tammy), three daughters, Lisa Lawson (Darrin), Gina Tussey (Billy) and Pam Preston. He is survived by two brothers, Eugene Thacker (Bobbie), Raymond "Duke" Thacker (Linda), three sisters, Shirley Fields, Shelly Tanner Adkins (David M.), Faye Taylor (Jack). He is survived by seven grandchildren, April Thacker, Tasha Justice, John Justice, Austin Lawson, Bo Lawson, Chase Lawson, Austin Tussey; five great grandchildren, Arya Tackett, Jayce Justice, Jaxson Justice, Hayleigh Lawson, Brennon Justice and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2020, 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with Elder Heike officiating. Entombment will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY.
