Jimmy Goble, 76, a member of the Pikeville community, passed away on February 20, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on March 6, 1949.

Jimmy was the father of Tanya Wilson, Debbie Goble, Donald Hall, Brian Ross, and Vickie Coleman. Mr. Goble leaves behind 17 grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.

Jimmy is reunited in spirit with several family members who have gone before him, his wife, Emma Goble, who preceded him in death, his mother, Inis Thacker, and his children, Donna Goble Lopez and Kelly Thacker, and by his beloved sister, Elva Sue Norman.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation services at Lucas & Son Funeral Home, located at 2931 US Highway 23 S in Pikeville, Kentucky. The first visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, followed by a second visitation on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the same time. Special church services each night at 7 PM, conducted by Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church.  A funeral service celebrating Jimmy’s life will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM, concluding with burial in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
