Janet McCoy

Janet Lynn Trout McCoy, age 66, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023 at her home. Janet was born on July 13, 1956 to her parents the late John Trout Jr. and Louise Trout. She was the wife of Roscoe McCoy, a manager at family dollar store, and a believer of the freewill baptist faith. Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Curtis Trout, four sisters, Sarah Salmons, Phyllis Varney, Darlene Muncy, and Wanda Sparks. Along with her husband, Janet is survived by one son, Jesse (Beth) Swafford, one sister, Shelby Lewis, ten grandchildren, Emily, Jesse, Danny, Caroline, Julia, Kimberly, Nicole, Harley, Cordelia, JoJo, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the McVeigh Pentecostal Church. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the McVeigh Pentecostal Church with Joseph Crum officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Taylor Cemetery at Gulnare, Ky.
