James Edward Quinn

James Edward Quinn, age 43, passed from this life surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He was the husband of Charla Blackburn Quinn, an employee of the Ky. Highway Department, and a believer of the Christian Faith. James was born on Feb. 23, 1980 to his parents Edward Quinn and the late Beulah Hamilton Quinn. Along with his Mother, James was preceded in death by his brother in laws: David, Larry, and Dallas Blackburn, sister in law: Shelby Thomas. In addition to his wife and father, James is survived in death by his only son, Ethan Dakota Quinn, his sister, Heather Quinn, nieces, Jalah Quinn, and Abby (Justin) Jones, great nephew, Elijah Jones, brother in laws: Ben Blackburn, Samuel (Katrina) Blackburn, sister in laws: Katherine Blackburn, Margaret (Timmy) Hamilton, Cordelia Chaney, Patches (Martin) Atkinson, Geraldine Hall, best friends anyone could ask for and two he considered brothers: John Worrix and Travis Adkins, a host of loving nieces, nephews, and greats of both that he adored. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 2 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Burnin White, Dave Hammond, and Darvy Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemetery at Penny Road.
