James Wayne Elkins

James Wayne Elkins, age 72, of Jenkins, Ky. passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on May 13, 1950 the son of the late Willie and Delphia Cable Elkins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, William Orville Elkins and a sister, Carrie Fleming. Before his retirement Wayne was a heavy equipment operator for Bizzack. He was a member of the United Steel Workers. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Elkins, one son, Rob (Robin) Elkins of Dorton, KY, and daughter, Jessica (Chris) Cain of Jenkins, KY, five grandchildren, Lexie, Bella, Addi, Caleb and Zay and seven brothers and sisters and a host of friends and family that will miss him and loved him dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, after 6 pm at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 pm at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Greg Johnson and George Johnson Officiating. Special services will be held nightly at 7 pm
