Icy Coleman

     Icy Coleman, age 91, of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center.   

Icy was born March 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Alf and Rachael Branham Tackett. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, and a member of the Rockhouse Unity Baptist Church.  She was known to her Granddaughters as Memaw and to her Grandsons as Grandma Chicken.

    Along with her parents Icy was preceded in death by four brothers: Victor Tackett, Jay Tackett, Tanda Lee Branham and Tommy Branham; four sisters: Drucie Hopson, Sadie Branham, Phyllis Logue, and Jeanette Coleman.

Icy is survived by two sons: Jeffery Marvin Coleman and his wife Melanie, Dr Tommy Coleman and his wife Kacey; four Grandchildren: Clay Coleman, Chelsea Coleman, Carson Coleman, Isaiah Coleman, and a host of loving friends. 

Visitation will begin at 6 P.M. Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with church services at 7:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy England and John Hopson officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, Kentucky.
