Grover Meade

Grover Meade Jr., age 66, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Grover was born on June 29, 1954 to his parents the late Grover Meade and Gladice Taylor Meade. He was the husband of Ernestine Johnson Meade, a farmer, coon hunter, retired coal miner, and a member of the Deane Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Grover was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Vester Bentley, Douglas Bentley, and one daughter, Martha Pease, two brothers, Danny Meade, Bobby Meade, and one great grandchild, Bryson Hall. Along with his wife, Grover is survived by one daughter, Kristina (Joseph) O'Neal, three brothers, William Meade, Daniel Meade, Noah Meade, two sisters, Linda Fouts, Delma Sue Meade, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Alfred Fields and Brad Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubert Johnson Cemetery at Speight, Ky.
