Glema Adams, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center. Born on December 27, 1946, in Pike County, Kentucky, to the late Sterling and Maudie Justice-Slone, Glema spent her life rooted in the hills she called home, surrounded by family, faith, and the unwavering bonds of love. She was a dedicated wife to her late husband David Fred Adams.
Glema dedicated her life to her family. As a homemaker, she raised three boys with deep devotion, guiding them with kindness, strength, and wisdom. Her heart brimmed with affection for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding great joy in watching them grow and cherishing every moment shared. Glema’s home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and gentle care—a testament to her nurturing spirit.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Keith Adams (and wife April) and Scott David Adams (and wife Jennifer), who will forever remember her love and guidance. Glema's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Laken Clay (and husband Trey), Brooke Butcher, Skye Martinez (and husband Adan), Cheyanne Adams, Madysun Reed, and Levi Reed, as well as her great-grandson\, Beckham Butcher and great-granddaughter Remington Tyler. Her nurturing embrace and wise counsel have left an indelible mark on each of their lives.
Glema also leaves behind her loving sisters—Jeanette May, Gladys Morris, and Minnie Rowe—whose bonds have withstood the test of time and brought comfort through both laughter and tears.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her son, Gary L. Adams; her brothers, Raymond Slone, Otis Slone, and Irvin Slone; her sister, Susie Justice; and her parents, Sterling Slone, and Maudie Justice-Slone. Their memories remain precious, their spirits forever entwined with hers.
