Geraldine Phipps

    Geraldine (Geral) Coleman Phipps, age 86, of Rockhouse, Ky., died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center, with her family by her bedside.      She was born at Rockhouse, Ky., July 6, 1933, a daughter and the sixth child of eleven children of the late Arthur and Mary Hollands Coleman.      She was retired from the Pike County School System, and a member of the Unity Freewill Baptist Church of Rockhouse, Ky.      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Autie Mason Phipps, and one grandson, Kyle Mason Phipps; four brothers, Elmer, Kermit, Blake, and Carl Coleman, and three sisters, Ollie Harmon Reba Adkins, and Magelene Phipps.     She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Ruth) Phipps and Gary (Vonda) Phipps both of Rockhouse, Ky., one brother, Clifford (Patty) Coleman of Mooresburg, Tennessee, two sisters, Laverne (Mac) Coleman of Rockhouse, Ky., and Lois Damron of Georgetown, Ky., and two sister in laws, Wanda Coleman, Mary Coleman both of Rockhouse, Ky., and a host of other dear family and friends.     Visitation will be Friday January 31, 2020 at 5p.m. for family and 6p.m. for the public.  Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at 1p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Freewill Baptist Ministers Michael Coleman and Greg Coleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Arthur and Mary Coleman Family Cemetery at Rockhouse, Ky.
